Start with The Reluctant Inspector’s Guide
A compliance inspector arrives to close down Briardown — a village where the hero teaches school, the enchantress just sorts the post, the monster is a house cat (larger on Tuesdays), and the designated villain keeps bees. She filed Non-compliant before the coach even reached the valley. Then she started counting the days until she could come back. A standalone cozy-fantasy prequel novella to A Mess of Unhelpful Guides.
